Nature’s Work have created a beautifully designed and illustrated set of playing cards aimed to educate, entertain and inspire. There are currently two decks of cards. One is based on British wildflowers the other on Alpine flowers. The cards are designed to be used both as traditional playing cards and as an educational tool when leading groups. There are many ways to engage a group about the natural world whilst on a walk and these neat, water resistant cards will easily fit in your day bag and can be pulled out at any convenient opportunity.
Each card is a separate plant and includes a colour photo, the flower name, its description to aid identification and an interesting fact about the plant. The suits are also arranged into categories. The British set are linked to habitats and have a themed background colour to aid categorising the flowers. The Alpine set are categorised into flower colour. A pair of joker cards are also include and are information packed explaining either the habitats or flower parts depending on which set you buy.
Nature’s Work is a small educational consultancy which runs training courses and workshops for teachers and the outdoor industry. Our range of courses are designed to educate and inspire people about our natural world. It was only a matter of time before we started to sell a range of educational products to compliment our courses.
