BAIML and MTUKI are pleased to announce the completion of the IML credit rating process. This is an agreement between the Scottish Qualifications Authority and Mountain Training United Kingdom & Ireland (MTUKI)
The IML award will have the official name of International Mountain Leader with a SCQF level of 10 with 45 SCQF Credit Points. The mapping to other frameworks is not precise but in the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) of England and Wales this is a level 6. It is also a level 6 in the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
BAIML feels this is an appropriate level that reflects the content and professional nature of the IML award.
BAIML is part of a project on the Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications in the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. We are delighted that the SCQF rating process has completed in time to refer to the status in this project.
